Singapore Flex Usergroup

FUG will be given a 5 mins presentation during Colin Moock’s workshop on the 12th May. Super thanks to Adobe Singapore for giving us this chance to present ourselves to the mass developer audience in Singapore. I will covering the upcoming events for FUG as well as taking this chance to thanks all the presenters that has helped us during the past 6 months.

For the month of April, we will be having our Usergroup meeting on the 23rd April, Wednesday, at Adobe Pagemaker room. This month, we will have the developers behind Idubee, Andriy, to talk about the Spreadsheet Flex application. We also have Luca Mezzalira from Italy who will be presenting Flex BitmapData for us. It will be an exciting meeting up!

Creator of Flex SpreadSheet Application Idubee (http://www.idubee.com), Andriy, will be presenting the application he did with his friend Denis. He will also touch on creating components with PV3D

About Andriy:
Andrii was born in Ukraine. He’s excited about RIA, 3D modeling and
animation, and has unusual sympathy to math and physics. He’s currently
in Singapore and after spending some great time working for Singtel,

BREAK SESSION
8.25pm - 9.30pm : Session 2 - Flex BitmapData - Remote Presentation by Luca Mezzalira
When you think Flex, you think about Rich Internet Applications, tons rows of code, web services, remote objects and so on.
But with Flex we could make interesting things also manipulating bitmap.
So in this e-learning we will take an overview about BitmapData object, if you are interesting of how to manipulate images,
working with ImageSnapshot and view some special effects, take 1 hour and follow Flex BitmapData session.

Luca Mezzalira summary
I’m an italian Adobe Flash developer certified and instructor.
In september 2007 I became Flex Champion at Adobe Max Chicago.
I use Flash for all projects from touch screen to mobile!
I work on Flex, AIR, Flash and Flash Lite.
I’ve a multimedia agency in Padua a city near Venice (italy) that is called m.art3
I also teach in my traning center that it calls Let’s Course.

I write for national and international technical magazine and I’m staff member of actionscript.it, the italian Adobe User Group.

Attendence of Flex UG meeting is free, but we appreciate if you drop a thread here to tell us that you are coming, so that we can prepare enough food, drinks and seats for everyone. And yes, I got a couple of AIR stickers to give away. You are also free to contribute more food if you want (chips, chocolate) =D

There is wifi so feel free to bring your laptop. Volunteers who want to help in taking photos will be welcome too
